Tantalum is the third most difficult metal to melt after tungsten and rhenium. Pure tantalum has a bluish color, excellent ductility, and can be rolled into very thin (less than 0.01 mm) plates without intermediate annealing in the cold state. The corrosion resistance of tantalum is the same as that of glass, and at medium temperature (about 150 ° C) only fluorine, hydrofluoric acid, sulfur trioxide (including fuming sulfuric acid), strong alkali and some molten salts have an effect on tantalum. Tantalum must appear in nature with niobium, which is chemically similar, and is generally contained in tantalite, niobite and coltan. Brazil and Australia are the two countries with the most tantalum resources. |

Spherical tantalum powder is made by Plasma spheroidization. It is mainly used in plasma spraying, supersonic spraying, cold spraying,3D printing, anti-corrosion coating, or industries like powder metallurgy. Tantalum has excellent biocompatibility, and the tantalum implant formed by 3D printing has the elastic modulus closest to human cartilage tissue, which is the most ideal orthopedic implant material. |
GINGA provides a broad range of Tantalum products in a variety of shapes and sizes. |
